Well, that was one hell of a wake up call. Around 6:30 this morning I heard what sounded like an explosion or really really REALLY loud thunder (it turned out to be the latter) so I got up and looked out my window and saw nothing, so I went back to bed where I was dreaming of my Retirement-Home-That-Only-Exists-When-I-Dream.
Cid from FFVII was trying to blow up the retirement home that had already been evacuated. (though earlier in the dream, I was showing my great grandfather's girlfriend around, and my friend Kame was working there (which is a new development))And I was trying to translate a four line (or was it six...?) scripture, and I had to read out loud a retiree's tag board, It was in Spanish. (I can't read Spanish. Another one of my co-workers showed up to do that for me.) though at different times in the dream. The tag board occurred before evacuation, and the scripture afterwards. And then I found out that the Clan Points from FFXII had importance to wining prizes at the retirement home. I was there with my sister, grandmother, and grandfather, and someone who now that the dream is over strongly reminds me of an insane Genesis who is not obsessed with Quoting Loveless, but rather, by making minor explosions. He was actually rather nice to me. >> And my hair caught on fire. My brain was to preoccupied by 'get away from the ticking before you die!!!' to notice if the dream was real enough for the smell of burnt hair. (which I shoved under a faucet shortly later.) It was from another bomb.
It's making me wonder if the bombs were thunder.
Then I was woken up a half hour later or so, when another sound like an explosion went off. Afterwards I could hear car alarms going off and the rush of very heavy approaching rain. At least it wasn't hail, like in Oregon City. I found out about ten minutes later (by way of grandpa explaining it to me) that the sound was the sound of lightening hitting somewhere close by and thunder sounding at the same time.
Not appreciated.

Anime is NOT a cartoon for geeks, it's a way of life!
Even adults watch cartoons, so never fear getting older!
